• 2330 - JAPAN TOKYO CPI FOR OCTOBER Core consumer prices in Tokyo are expected to rise 0.3 percent in October compared with a rise of 0.2 percent in September.
• 2330 - JAPAN NATIONWIDE CPI FOR SEPTEMBER Japan's core consumer prices are expected to rise 0.7 percent in September from a year earlier, compared with a rise of 0.8 percent in August.

• 0830 - UK Q3 GDP PRELIMINARY READING Forecast to rise 0.8 percent from the previous quarter, up from a 0.7 percent reading in Q2. For the year, GDP forecast to rise 1.5 percent, compared with a rise of 1.3 percent, previously.
• 1230 - U.S. DURABLE GOODS FOR SEPTEMBER Commerce Dept. releases September durable goods orders. Economists in a Reuters survey expect a 2.0 percent rise in September orders compared with the 0.1 percent increase in the August durable goods report.
• 1355 - THOMSON REUTERS/UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN FINAL CONSUMER SENTIMENT FOR OCTOBER Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers release final October consumer sentiment index. Economists in a Reuters survey expect a reading of 75.0 compared with 75.2 in the preliminary October report.
• 1400 - U.S. WHOLESALE INVENTORIES FOR AUGUST Commerce Dept releases wholesale inventories for August. Economists in a Reuters survey forecast inventories to rise 0.3 percent versus a 0.1 percent increase in July.
• 1430 - U.S. ECRI WEEKLY Economic Cycle Research Institute releases its weekly index of economic activity for Oct. 18. In the prior week, the index read 130.4.
