Germany's producer prices declined for the third month in a row in November, data from Destatis showed on Wednesday.

The producer price index fell 0.7 percent year-on-year in November, following a 0.6 percent decrease in October. Economists had expected the prices to fall 0.6 percent.

Among the components, energy prices declined 3.4 percent annually in November and those of intermediate goods fell 2.1 percent.

Meanwhile, prices for non-durable consumer goods grew 2.6 percent and those of capital goods and durable consumer goods rose by 1.4 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively.

On a monthly basis, producer prices remained unchanged in November, after a 0.2 percent fall in the previous month. Economists had expected the prices to rise 0.1 percent.

Excluding energy, producer prices dropped 0.1 percent monthly in November and rose 0.2 percent from a year ago.
