The Australian dollar begins the week with a decline yesterday. On the first day, the Aussie dollar lost 21 points due to the overall dollar strengthening (0.22%), and the AUD was not supported by the growth of business circles sentiment for April (NAB Business Confidence +10 versus +8 in March). Today, retail sales in March estimates showed a zero increase versus the expectation of 0.2%. The quarterly report on retail sales showed an increase of only 0.2% against expectations of 0.5%. The weakening of the "Australian" currency occurs on a mixed background of commodity markets. Iron ore decreased by 0.16%, and oil lost about 1%.

According to the Australian press, investors are more aware of the decision of the US President Donald Trump. At 10:30 AM London time, the draft budget of Australia will be published, which, in the opinion of some experts, may not be fulfilled because of the decline in the commodity prices. We are waiting for the AUD / USD pair in the range of 0.7375 / 85.
